Here is my CCR! 

As this week comes to an end we reflect back on our project. The deadline is approaching this week and we are happy to see the final product. From the beginning we were a bit unsure of what we wanted to do and when we finally picked an idea unsure if we could pull through with it. Looking at our film opening now we can officially say it all worked out and we are happy with the final product. Though we went through some obstacles during the process like filming, editing, and working as a group in the end we all came together and worked it out to leave us with our final piece of our film opening.

We knew our film opening was complete without a little background music. We searched and searched until we found the perfect song to fit the mood of our film opening. We found the kareokee/ piano version of the song chasing cars and when reading the bio found out it was free download and can be used as long as we credited them. We were so happy that we not only found a song but one that was easily downloaded. Since it wasn't our song we were sure to credit the owners in our film opening and also on our blog. Below is a picture of the credit for the song.

This week my group and I met on Monday finished our recording for the ending of our film opening. Since we took a lot of footage to make sure we got the perfect shot of what we were ping for we sat down looked through all of them and picked the best shots to add in at the end. Once we picked we edited the shots in and watched the whole film all together. Once we finished  editing since we knew we wanted music and had been looking for music we then tried  different things in our opening to see which we would like best. First we tried it with just the music, then with  the music and voiceover and in the end chose the music and the voiceover since we though that one sounded best. It took a few listens for us to finally all agree what we thought sounded best, but we are happy with our decision and think it is the right choice.

Music

Our film is coming along, but as a group we all agreed it needs a little background music to add to the overall tone. We sat down and looked at different examples and thought about what music would sound best with our piece. We decided to add a piano background music into our film opening to give it more meaning to the tone. We finally found a piano background music that we thought would fit our opening.  Since it isn't our music we must first get permission before it is added to our film. We decided that in class this week we will work towards getting permission for our music and also finish up recording our voice over. These two things are very important for our film opening.

Editing

My group and I sat down today and viewed all of our footage. We changed the ending of our film opening so we don't have that footage yet to edit, but we wanted to start somewhere so we started with what we had.  We are far from done and know we still have a lot more editing and cutting until our final film opening is ready. After going through all our footage, we started to edit our film opening together as a group. We had to cut shots, put our shots in order and use all different kinds of editing techniques we have learned throughout the year to better our film opening. Though we started editing today in class, we still have a lot more editing to do and we will continue editing it in class throughout the upcoming week. We also learned that when we started to edit some of our footage some of it didn't flow, since this is the case we have to get together outside of school and re-film some shots for our film opening.
